Ladies and gentlemen,
I’d like to take this opportunity to thank any and all who have purchased Distant Star, my first novel, in the five weeks since it appeared online in various bookstores and in various formats.
As it stands right now, I’m at 1940 sales – and sixteen positive reviews on Amazon! You don’t hate me, or my stories, and I love you for it.
The surge of sales through June and the positive response has had me furiously working on the follow-up to Distant Star – Book Two of The Reminiscent Exile.
Broken Quill.
I’m hoping to have a first draft by late August/early September, off to the editors before December, and hitting the shelves come January/February 2013. Things step up a notch in Book Two. We learn a lot more about Declan and his sordid past, as well as meet a whole cast of new characters who have been pulled into his dangerous web of war and regret.
Also, a duck explodes.
Thanks again, dear readers,
Joe
Its always nice when good writing gets attention, and good writers get the sales. I’ll still be here for Broken Quill. Rereading Wastelands and Heartlands in the meantime. Oh, and can you recommend a good scotch that won’t break the bank? I’ve liked Yamizaki 12 year…
Hmm… depends on your tastes, mostly. Bowmore Islay is a fine drop, if you’re into the rich, smoky stuff–as I am.
Cheers.
Damn and blast. I held that in my hands too. I ended up going for the cheaper Tormore Speyside. Its growing on me, but doesn’t hold a candle to the Yamizaki. Next time I’ll give the Bowmore a shot.

Harry Potter and the Wastelands of Time was one of the most absolutely fantastic stories ever. It is one of my favorite stories. Not just fanfiction, but all fiction. It was amazing. HP and the HOT looked to be just as good. Then you disappeared.
Please, eventually, return to it. It is super duper awesome.
Please.
Please.
OR ELSE (JK, but SERIOUSLY).
Please.
Amen.
Also: I’ll remind you that you promised fanfiction.net a chapter way back in June.
If you’re feeling guilty, that’s a hint that you should get writing.
Wastelands and Heartlands are great, but my interest was piqued by Red vs Blue… hoping that setting gets revisited too.
